PINELLAS COUNTY -- A pregnant woman was shot and killed Wednesday while arguing with her boyfriend about the unborn child.
According to St. Petersburg police, the shooting happened at 10:30 a.m. at a home on Anastasia Way S., near Lakewood Estates.
Police later arrested 18-year-old Larry J. Reed, who they said was the boyfriend of 24-year-old Anastasia L. Boyd.
Boyd was four months pregnant.
Police said Reed confessed to the shooting. He is facing charges of second-degree murder in Boyd's death, but will not face charges in the death of the baby because under current Florida law, the baby was not viable.
