Deputies are investigating what they believe is a murder-suicide in Cabarrus County.
The investigation started Wednesday when the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office received a call from the employer of Robert Price, stating no one had heard from him in a few days and they couldn't reach him by phone.
Deputies went to Price's home on Addison Drive in Harrisburg to check on him. They said there were indications someone was in the home, but no one would come to the door.
After several failed attempts at getting someone to the door, deputies forced the door. Inside the house, they found the bodies of Price and his wife Diane.
Investigators spoke to neighbors and processed the scene. They believe Robert and Diana Price died several days prior to their discovery.
The Sheriff told WBTV the investigation indicates Mrs. Price shot and killed her husband, and then turned the gun on herself. The Sheriff also said there were no signs of a physical struggle, and it appears Mr. Price was in bed just prior to the shooting.
There is no word on a motive.
An autopsy is scheduled and the investigation is ongoing.
