Police are questioning a woman suspected of fatally shooting her husband at a west Houston apartment complex on Saturday evening, authorities said.
Officers were called to the scene of a shooting around 7:40 p.m. at a complex in the 1500 block of Big Bend. A man was found shot in his home, Houston Police Department Homicide Division investigator J.R. Johnston said.
Witnesses gave officers a description of the suspect, believed to be the man’s wife, and she was located shortly afterward at a nearby apartment complex. She was then taken into custody, Johnston said.
Investigators said the couple had an argument, of which the nature is unknown, and the suspect fired shots, Johnston said.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. His wife is being questioned by investigators. Their identities have not been released.
No charges have been filed in the shooting, and the case is still under investigation.
