CULLMAN, AL (WBRC) -
Cullman County investigators are investigating the stabbing death of a 31-year-old woman. The Cullman County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call about a possible domestic dispute around 12:39 a.m. Wednesday, March 15. When officers arrived to the scene, they found a white female with "wounds consistent with an edged weapon," according to David Dover with the sheriff's office.
Officials identified the victim as Tammy Lynn Lindsay. She was found at a neighbor's residence and Cullman County Coroner Steve Rodgers pronounced her dead at the scene.
Tammy's husband Michael Wayne Lindsay, 48, received treatment at CRMC hospital for laceration wounds. He was later taken to UAB for further treatment.
According to the office of the District Attorney Wilson Blaylock, charges are pending. Cullman County investigators are still processing the crime scene, Dover said.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
