A 40-year-old Pinewood man has been charged with murder after police say a 35-year-old Pinewood woman was killed Sunday afternoon during what investigators believe was a domestic dispute, according to Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis.
Dennis said deputies have charged Christopher Bryan Rodko, 40, of 6770 Rooster Circle in Pinewood with the killing of Ginger McLeod, 35, of 5690 Rooster Circle in Pinewood. Sumter County Coroner Harvin Bullock said McLeod died of a gunshot wound, and an autopsy will be done Monday at Newberry Pathology Associates. Dennis said McLeod was found shot multiple times.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
