PORT EDWARDS, Wis (WSAU) Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Port Edwards.
It happened early Saturday morning in an apartment on LaVigne Avenue.
Around 1am police found the bodies of 48-year-old Steven Haller and his 42-year-old wife Ann Haller. Police also found a small-caliber handgun at the scene.
Investigators are not saying who the gunman was, but they have revealed that the shooting was planned in advance. The weapon was purchased and picked up by Ann Haller on Friday. The couple sent text messages to family members before the shooting. The motive has not been revealed.
The incident is under investigation by the Wood County medical examiner, the Wood County sheriffs department, and Port Edwards police.
