Wausau - Washington County Sheriff's investigators have released more details about an apparent murder-suicide that happened early Friday morning in the Wausau community. Deputies initially received a medical call from a home in the 3,000 block of Wyatt Drive.
Authorities believe 43-year-old Louise Marie Davis called 9-1-1 to get help for her 72- year-old mother, Marie Riley, who'd apparently fallen in the shower. By the time they arrived, they found Davis and her husband, 49-year-old Gregory Lynn Davis, shot to death.
Investigators believe David attacked both his wife and mother-in-law. They say he allowed Riley to leave the house, before killing his wife, then killing himself. The case is still under investigation.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
