LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) – Calcasieu Parish Sheriff deputies responded to 929 Sam Houston Jones Parkway around midnight after a man called 911 and said he killed his wife. Once on the scene, deputies found a woman dead in the back bedroom of the house.
"He didn't really say anything. By the time I got here, deputies had already transported him to the office. He wanted to talk to deputies, so they went down to interview him at the office. He has not been charged. I'm sure that following his interview the deputies will book him the Calcasieu Correctional Center," said Sheriff Mancuso.
The couple moved here recently from Tennessee, according to Sheriff Tony Mancuso. No word yet on a cause of death or motive.

A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?

Is there any known update of this case? I would really like to know. Jon use to be my step dad until 2005 when my mom passed away.
The trial is scheduled to begin in the second half of May 2012.
