COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) - Police in Columbus say the deaths of a couple whose bodies were found in their home are being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.
Sgt. Matt Blackstock of the Columbus Police Department says Alisha and Christopher Kendrick's bodies were discovered on Wednesday, and they were pronounced dead at the scene.
Muscogee County Coroner Bill Thrower says he ordered an autopsy to be conducted Thursday, and that the bodies would be sent to Atlanta. He said both victims appeared to have received gunshot wounds.
A neighbor says a co-worker of Alisha Kendrick became concerned because she hadnĂ‚’t reported to her job as a dispatcher for the Georgia Department of Public Safety and discovered the couple inside the house.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
