TOLEDO, Ohio (WUPW) - A husband allegedly shot and killed his wife with a gun Thursday evening in a domestic dispute, Toledo police detectives said.
The fatal shooting took place just before 7:45 p.m., inside the Hillview Apartments on Jackman Road near the state line in northern Toledo.
Police said after 52-year-old Christopher Gould allegedly shot and killed his wife, 46-year-old Brenda Gould, he called 9-1-1 and claimed the shooting was accidental.
Detectives, though, told FOX Toledo News they believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.
Mrs. Gould was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound, police said.
Mr. Gould was taken into custody and processed at the Safety Building in Downtown Toledo.
The fatal shooting remains under investigation.
