Elmira, NY (WBNG Binghamton) An Elmira man admits to Investigators that he killed his girlfriend. Elmira police were called to 430 Hathorn Court just before 10:30 Monday morning.
That's where they found Arteamus Wells, 35, trying to enter the home.

Upon further investigation, police found Erin Jade Smith, 19, of Elmira, dead inside.
Police say evidence found at the scene indicated it was a homicide.
Investigators say Wells confessed that he was responsible for killing smith.
He said he was in a relationship with her, and had been staying with her at Hathorn Court.
