ASHLAND, N.H.—Authorities aren't saying what led to the fatal stabbing of an Ashland, N.H., man in his apartment.
Thirty-five-year-old Clair Jax was arrested Thursday at the home of 54-year-old Kevin Doane, who was found dead. She was arraigned Friday on two alternate counts of second-degree murder, one alleging that she knowingly caused Doane's death and the other alleging that she recklessly caused his death.
Doane's neighbors say Jax had recently moved in with Doane. Prosecutors would say only that they knew each other.
An autopsy performed Friday showed that Doane died of multiple stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
