MIDDLE RIVER, Md. -- An elderly couple were found dead Friday in their Middle River home.
John Lewis Sigmond, 85, and Margie Beatrice Sigmond, 84, were found dead in the living room of their house in the 10100 block of Bird River Road, Baltimore County public safety officials said.
A relative visiting the home called 911 shortly after 2:45 p.m. Detectives said a note was found at the scene and that both Sigmonds appear to have died from a gunshot wound.
Police said they discovered a note inside the house along with the bodies of an 84-year-old woman and an 85-year-old man.
Their names were not immediately released.
