An Atlanta man, Lawrence Woods, 19, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for beating to death his girlfriend. Police said Woods killed Elijah McDrew, 22, because she shorted him $40 from a prostitution job he sent her on.
Police said that Woods chased McDrew in his car then on foot before catching her and beating her to death.
She was beaten so badly that she was left without brain function.
