A woman and her ex-husband died and another man was wounded in an apparent shoot-out at a Manvel home last weekend, authorities said.
The shooting occurred in the 10800 block of Leslie Lane about 4 a.m. Saturday, according to the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office.
Karla Boone, 70, and Stanley Boone, 63, were pronounced dead at the scene. They each had been shot more than once.
A family member, whose name has not been released, was wounded in the arm. He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Deputies said Karla Boone called 911 to report that her ex-husband was breaking into the home. Then gunfire broke out inside the home among the family members.
Deputies dispatched to the residence found the Boones dead in Karla Boone's bedroom. They also found the wounded man. The shooting does not appear to be a murder/suicide, deputies said.
Deputies said they could not release other details about the shooting, which is under investigation.
