HOUSTON (KABC) -- A Houston woman is accused of murdering her husband by running him over repeatedly with her car. April Holmes
Police say the couple had been arguing while driving, and authorities believe the husband got out of the car to walk home.
"Somehow or another, he got behind the car. She backed up over him and ran him over. Then pulled forward and back over him again," described Harris County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Curtis Brown.
When police arrived, they found the wife still in the car and the husband underneath it.
The case is eerily similar to another one in Houston eight years ago when Clara Harris ran over and killed her husband after finding out he was having an affair.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
