Hudson, MI: Police release details about shooter who led police on chase

A domestic dispute that escalated is how police are describing the incident that left one man dead and a woman wounded.

Police revealed details of Monday's shooting and car chase that resulted in the death of  Wheatland Township resident Scott Clark outside his home in a press conference Tuesday at the Hudson police station. Clark, 37, had shot his ex-wife, Angela Clark, 27, of Hudson outside her home at 218 N. Church St. Monday afternoon.

Scott Clark then led police into eastern Hillsdale County before everything culminated at his home at 14670 Church Road.

Angela Clark received treatment for a gunshot wound at the scene in Hudson before being flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Hudson Police Chief Charles Weir said.

She is doing well, Weir said.

The cause of death for Scott Clark remains under investigation at this time, James G. Shaw, commander of the Jackson Michigan State Police post, said Tuesday.

Shaw said Scott Clark  died as a results of either  a self-inflicted gunshot wound or from a law enforcement official.
