DERMOTT, Ark. — A prosecutor says a southeast Arkansas man will be charged with capital murder in the deaths of two children who were hit by his van.
Arkansas State Police say 23-year-old Robert Carter Jr. drove the van Sunday into the yard of the Dermott home where his ex-girlfriend, 24-year-old Latasha Figures, and the couple's two children were living.
Prosecutor Thomas Deen says 18-month-old Amoni Carter and 4-year-old Indeya Carter were both struck by the van.
Figures was also hit and remains hospitalized.
Prosecutor Thomas Deen says that Figures' father shot Carter in the leg and Carter ran about two blocks before being arrested.
Deen says he hasn't decided whether to seek the death penalty.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?

I say immobilize him, all him to get hit by a van until he dies or put him in a boat, drive about 50+ miles out to sea, dump him over, allow him float around and think about it until he dies. just because you cannot see ur kids, does not mean you need to kill them, make your case in court, idiot! same goes for the mom that put her kids in the van and drove off into the river in ny
I totally agree with Frederick, although torturing him or even killing him will not bring the kids back- he DESERVES something. I seriously hope he does not get off an insanity plea, this was premeditated.Kids should ever fall to adult b.s. running them over proves neither solves anything. I hope when he goes to prison the inmates show him what it feels like to be hit
