The man and woman found dead at an Orange County motel were identified today as the parents of an 11-year-old boy, a couple that broke up last weekend, sheriff's detectives said today. Eneiga Beltran, 32, was found dead inside an SUV at a Motel 6 in Stanton Friday. Her estranged domestic partner, Hugo Gonzalez, 39, shot and killed himself inside a room there, said Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino. The woman was not shot or stabbed, and an autopsy is needed to determine her cause of death, he said ``She was last seen at a parent-teacher conference at her son's schoolin Anaheim Friday morning,' Amormino told City News Service.
Investigators believe the woman could have been forced into the car at gunpoint. "How she ended up in his car is not known at this time is not known, and may never be known.""Her parents filed a missing persons report with Anaheim police Friday afternoon, after they did not hear from her and she did not pick up the boy at school," Amormino said. Beltran and Gonzalez had broken up last weekend after a long-term relationship, he said. The manager of the Motel 6 at 7450 Katella Ave. summoned deputies to the property about 2 p.m. Friday. They found the man dead in a room with a handgun nearby, and the body of the woman in a 2007 GMC Yukon in the rear parking lot.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
