Fluvanna County Man Shoots Ex-Girlfriend, Self

One man is dead and a woman is recovering after a shooting Saturday night in Fork Union.

The Fluvanna County Sheriff's office says a man showed up at a family gathering, shot his ex-girlfriend, then, once deputies arrived, he shot and killed himself.

The woman is getting treatment at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She's expected to be OK.
