Norfolk
A Norfolk man entered a guilty plea Wednesday in Circuit Court to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of his girlfriend.
Terrance Wright, 24, is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 30. Amanda Howie, spokeswoman for the commonwealth's attorney office, said no agreement is in place regarding Wright's sentencing.
He is charged in the shooting death of his girlfriend, 24-year-old Latonya Dickens, in her apartment on Edward Street. Both were in the U.S. Navy, and Wright has said in court that she was shot accidentally while the couple was handling a gun.
