Authorities were investigating yesterday the deaths of a 30-year-old woman from Springfield Township, Montgomery County, and her 3-year-old son as a possible murder-suicide.Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman said the bodies were found at 6:30 a.m. yesterday in the bedroom of the Bent Lane house where the two lived. She withheld the names of the two and would not say whether the woman's husband, who was the father of the child, was home at the time. She said authorities do not regard him as a suspect. Ferman said investigators expect to have autopsy results next week. She did not know whether the couple had other children. - Derrick Nunnally |
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
