An Ashland City man was indicted this week by a Cheatham County grand jury on three charges relating to a murder-suicide on Trouble Road in November.
Timothy Hundley, 44, of Trouble Road, was indicted on two counts of criminal responsibility and aggravated kidnapping.
Hundley was also indicted on an assault charge relating to an incident in which he allegedly hit Cheatham County sheriff’s deputy Carl Erb with a baseball bat several days before the murder-suicide.
Hundley was originally charged with facilitation to commit first-degree murder, facilitation of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping.
The charges stemmed from the Nov. 16 incident in which Hundley's brother David shot Darlene Biggs and Don'a Biggs, his ex-girlfriend, before turning the gun on himself. Don'a Biggs died at the scene, while David Hundley died several hours later at a Nashville hospital.
Authorities have said the Timothy Hundley held Darlene Biggs down inside the home and prevented her from leaving and getting help after she was shot multiple times by David Hundley.
During a preliminary hearing in December, Darlene Biggs testified she and Don'a Biggs, her ex-sister-in-law and best friend, went to David Hundley's home that morning so Don'a Biggs could pick up some scrubs for a new job she was starting the next day.
Timothy Hundley remains in the Cheatham County Jail on a $705,000 bond. He will be arraigned Monday in Circuit Court.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
