DENVER -- A man and a woman were found dead Wednesday morning in an apparent murder-suicide, Denver police said.
Officers were asked to check on the woman because she had not shown up for work since last Thursday. The officers found the woman and a man dead inside a ninth-floor apartment at Governor's Park, 777 North Washington, at 11:22 a.m.
"Detectives were called to the scene and the preliminary investigation indicates that this was a murder suicide," said Sonny Jackson, Denver police spokesman.
He said the investigation was in its preliminary stages.
The Denver medical examiner identified the two on Thursday as Gerald Cler, 55, and Liz Tomocik 54.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
