A 23-year-old man faces a charge of cruelty to animals after being accused of killing his girlfriend's Chihuahua, police said.
Victor Serrano's girlfriend called police Thursday morning and when officers arrived they found the dead dog. Officers determined that Serrano struck the dog, police said. Serrano, of 1222 Town Colony Drive, was held, with bail set at $25,000, and is due in court Monday. If he posts bail, he's due in court April 15, police said.
