MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - A trial has been set in May for a western Kentucky man charged with murder in the shooting death of one man and wounding of two others.
The Murray Ledger & Times reports that Brock Riley Ramey of Murray is scheduled to face trial May 4 in the death of Jerry Eldridge of Almo in October 2008 and of wounding Eldridge's son and the son's girlfriend.
Ramey's ex-girlfriend, Jacqueline Phillips of Murray pleaded guilty earlier in the month to facilitation to murder in a deal that requires her to testify against Ramey.
Ramey was indicted on charges of murder, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree burglary, and two counts each of first-degree assault and tampering with evidence.
Phillips is to be sentenced May 24.

A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
