ARANSAS PASS - -
It's one of the most violent acts in Aransas Pass history. One woman is dead and four others injured after her police say her boyfriend went on a shooting rampage last night at the Fin and Feather RV Park and Marina, in Aransas Pass. They say the suspect, 33-year-old Jose Guillen was at a party with his girlfriend, 35-year-old Lanae Wesner of Kerrville. Guillen got into a physical fight with another man at the BBQ and then left. He came back with gun blazing. According to the authorities he first shot and killed his girlfriend. He also shot one man in the face and another in the hip. One woman was also shot in the hip, another in the stomach. Three of the victims lived at the RV park including the woman shot in the stomach who is listed in critical condition. Police say after the shooting, Gullien drove Port Aransas and dumped his car at the home he shared with his girlfriend. Then somehow he ended back up in Aransas Pass. He took a cab to the airport and flew from Corpus Christi to Houston Hobby. The suspect is in police custody tonight after he tried to board a South West plane in Houston to San Diego, his hometown.
