DeSoto County Sheriff Bill Rasco said Brooks Kelton Green was booked into the DeSoto County Jail about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
He was indicted Thursday by the grand jury which convened to hear evidentiary matters in the case, according to Rasco.
Green is being represented by Ashland defense attorney Steve Farese.
Charlotte Green, 70, was shot multiple times on Aug. 8 as she sat at a computer in her Nesbit home.
Kelton Green told police he was asleep the night his wife was killed and was awakened by her screams.
The couple has been married 52 years and were members of the Gold Wing motorcycle club.
