COOLSPRING, Pa. -- State police in western Pennsylvania say the deaths of a man and woman found in a remote area appear to have been a murder-suicide.
Police in Jefferson County say people riding all-terrain vehicles found the bodies in a vehicle along an abandoned rail line in a remote area of Oliver Township on Saturday afternoon.
The county coroner's office identified the victims as 46-year-old Ricky Lee Miller and 54-year-old Kathryn Divins of New Bethlehem. Both died of single gunshot wounds
Investigators said the two were involved in a long-term relationship and lived together, and had come to the area for the holiday weekend.
Investigators say believe Miller apparently shot Divins and then himself Friday or Saturday. Police say tere is no indication that anyone else was involved, but the investigation continues.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
