NEW ORLEANS - Police say a 20-year-old woman shot and killed her girlfriend following an argument Sunday afternoon in Algiers.
A department spokesman said the incident occurred in the 6100 block of Tullis Drive in Algiers.
According to investigators, police responded to a call of a woman down and arrived on the scene to find the victim shot in the chest. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the two women were involved in a domestic dispute that resulted in the victim being fatally shot.
