Warren— Warren police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide Monday that left a man, his common-law wife and their son shot to death.
Eugene Fraser, 46, and Donna Chance, 41, were found dead shortly before noon Monday in a pickup that hit a tree near Nine Mile and Mound. Authorities later found the couple's son, Robert Eugene Fraser, 21, shot to death in his home in Detroit.
According to police, Eugene Fraser shot his son Monday morning, then picked his wife up at her job at the Lowes at 13 Mile and Van Dyke and shot her while they were driving. Then he turned the gun on himself, causing the vehicle to hit the tree, Warren Police Commissioner Jere Green said. The couple have a daughter who lives in Roseville.
Tonya Badger was in her living room on Panama when she saw the white pickup careening down the street and heading for her. "I thought, 'He's going to come through my house,'" the Warren woman said. "I was in shock. I couldn't move."
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
