A couple found dead in their Cupertino home in what police are investigating as a possible murder-suicide or double suicide were identified today as Gary and Susan Longdon.
Their bodies were discovered in their home on Westacres Drive shortly after 2:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Santa Clara County sheriff's office.
Gary Longdon, 50, died of a gunshot wound to the head, said sheriff's Sgt. Jose Cardoza. His wife, who was 51, suffered blunt force trauma to the head, but the cause of her death could not be confirmed pending further testing, Cardoza said.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
