Borden, Ind. (WHAS11) - A Borden, Indiana man is facing felony charges after police say he killed his girlfriend's puppy.
Police say Thomas Wehrle killed the 4-month-old puppy last week.
Wehrle told police he was punishing the dog for going to the bathroom on the bedroom floor.
Earlier this week, Wehrle was arrested for domestic battery.
The girlfriend's mother told police Wehrle was abusive to her daughter and her grandchild.
