Paul Mata Charged In Death Of Diana Mata

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -- A New Braunfels man has been arrested, accused of killing his wife.
New Braunfels police said officers went to the couple's home on Oct. 15 for a reported overdose.
Investigators said 46-year-old Diana Mata was taken to an area hospital, where she later died.
On Wednesday, New Braunfels police arrested her 53-year-old husband, Paul Mata, after the medical examiner determined Mata's wife died from blunt force injuries to the head.
Mata has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Comal County Jail on $100,000 bond.
