MALDEN, Mass. -- A man surrendered to police in Malden Wednesday after the body of his husband was found in their home, Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said.
Malden and state police went to 32 Clarendon St. on Wednesday morning after someone reported a possible suspicious death. Upon arriving at the address, police found a body, identified as Brian Bergeron, 55, of Malden, Leone said.
Michael Losee, 41, of Malden, turned himself in to police Wednesday. He has been charged with homicide, Leone said.
“This appears to be a tragic incident of domestic violence, committed by the spouse of the victim,” Leone said.
Investigators believe Losse fatally stabbed Bergeron in the home, Leone said. Investigators said Losse called a friend in Florida and confessed to killing Bergeron, Leone said.
An autopsy will be performed on the victim.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
