Fairfax homicide detectives say that Wayne Woodyard, 60, of the 6000 block of Raina Drive, shot his wife, Jill, 52, on Monday and then killed himself in an apparent domestic incident.
A relative asked police to check on the couple's welfare at about 3 p.m. Monday and poilce found the bodies inside the Woodyard's home, said Fairfax Police spokesman Officer Bud Walker.
An investigation continues.
