Police say Jackie Wiggins was shot by Marshall Fleming Saturday night. Police say the two had a dating relationship.
Police in Rocky Mount responded to a shooting at 109 Stewart Court Saturday night around 11:30.
Lawmen say 59 year-old Jackie Wiggins was found shot outside the residence. Wiggins had wounds to her neck and elbow.
While at the residence police say they heard gun shots fired inside. When police went inside they found Marshall Fleming with a self inflicted gun shot wound to the upper chest.
Police believe Fleming shot Wiggins during a domestic dispute. Fleming was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wiggins was taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital where she is listed in stable condition
