An older Phoenix couple with a history of domestic violence fatally shot each other earlier this month in their northeast Phoenix home, police reported Sunday.
“It was a double homicide,” Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said. “They killed each other.”
The pair was identified as Harry Glab, 83, and his wife, Barbara, 64. The slayings were reported Jan. 8, but the Glabs may have been dead for several days, police said.
The couple’s volatile history stems back to the 1990s, Crump said, though details of their lives were sketchy Sunday.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
