CALHOUN COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) Calhoun County Sheriff Bob Dunn says it appears Dennis Queens shot his ex-wife, Rhonda, multiple times and turned the gun on himself Saturday.
Dunn says Rhonda Queens lived in Camden and texted somebody at 11:45 Friday night that she was going to see her ex-husband. Dunn says a neighbor called the sheriff's department after noticing Rhonda's taillights on Saturday morning. Dunn says about noon, authorities had to force the door open and discovered the bodies near the front entrance.
Dunn says this is the first homicide of the year. The bodies have been sent to the State Crime Lab for autopsies.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
