A man shot a woman and then killed himself near Randallstown Sunday evening in a domestic dispute, according to Baltimore County police.
The woman was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center after police forced their way into the residence in the 4200 block of Dressage Court and quickly took her out of the house, according to Lt. Robert McCullough.
Police did not release the names of the pair or explain their relationship.
Officers had responded to the house about 4:25 p.m. The man barricaded himself in the house and police set up a barrier around the residence. About 6 p.m. police went into the home and found him dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, McCullough said.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
