BALTIMORE -- Baltimore police arrested a man Thursday in connection with the fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend in April.
Police identified the man Friday as Daniel Sullivan, 30, of Baltimore, saying he was charged with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, theft and gun charges.
Keenya Jordan, 32, was found April 6 shot in the 600 block of Lennox Street. She was taken to Shock Trauma, where she died. An autopsy revealed Jordan was shot four times, according to charging documents. Police said Sullivan admitted to being with Jordan on the morning of her killing.
Investigators identified Sullivan as an Jordan's estranged ex-boyfriend, saying Jordan had been arrested in the past on allegations that he abused her. Police said Sullivan stalked Jordan upon his release from prison.
According to the charging documents, a witness told investigators that Sullivan told Jordan, "If I can't have you, I'm going to kill you and then kill myself." The documents indicate detectives also spoke with a woman with whom Sullivan is currently involved in a relationship. Detectives said that woman indicated that Sullivan physically abuses her.
Detectives ultimately recovered a .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun that police later identified as the weapon used in Jordan's killing.
