SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Santa Fe County deputies have arrested a man on an open count of murder in the death of his wife at their home south of Santa Fe.
The arrest came after 53-year-old Frank Gallegos called 911 late Wednesday to say he'd found his 50-year-old wife, Lisa, unresponsive at their home.
She was taken to the Santa Fe hospital, where she was pronounced dead Thursday.
Deputies say Gallegos acknowledged he and his wife were arguing before they went to sleep and that he had pulled her hair.
The Office of the Medical Investigator ruled her death a suspicious homicide after finding blunt-force injuries to her head.

A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
