One man was killed in an attempted murder-suicide Friday in Cody.
At about 11 p.m. Friday, police say John Tully, 62, shot and wounded Larry Jansma, 53, then shot himself inside the home of Kathy Stahl, 52.
Police were dispatched to the 3220 Sheridan Ave. residence when Stahl called to report Tully breaking in.
According to police, Tully, an ex-boyfriend of Stahl, shot Jansma from outside through a window, then entered the residence where he shot himself in the head with a revolver.
Police said they found Tully dead at the scene and Jansma still conscious. Stahl was unhurt.
As of Sunday, neither a motive nor Jansma's condition was known. Police are still investigating.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
