(WXYZ) - A suspect is in custody after a woman and her 4-year-old son were killed in a violent confrontation in Clinton Township on Saturday night.
The woman's 6-year-old daughter was taken to Children's Hospital. Her condition is unknown.
A fourth person, was also hurt. He is possibly the uncle of the young victims. He is expected to survive.
It's not clear if the injuries were caused by gunfire, a knife, or both.
The man accused of committing the horrific crime may have been dating the mother.

The Macomb County Sheriff brought in the Swat Team to force him out of the home. The Sheriff says the man resisted arrest, but eventually surrendered. Weapons were found inside the home.

He spent several months behind bars on an assault charge filed by a different ex-girlfriend.
The suspect's mother says her son has been unstable since being released.
The suspect's family is cooperating with police.

(NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
