MADISON (WKOW)-- Fitchburg Police say a Madison man beat a puppy to death during an argument with his girlfriend.
Authorities say 34-year-old Dwayne Johnson had an argument with his girlfriend in Fitchburg on December 14th over who the puppy belonged to.
According to police, Johnson beat the dog in the head and body with a large flashlight and then tossed the puppy into a dumpster.
A veterinarian determined the 4 to 6 week old female pit bull died of massive head trauma and punctured lungs.
