A man was so enraged over a missing bag of candy he fatally plunged a knife into a woman multiple times on Halloween, police alleged.
Ledell Peoples, 55, of 7100 block of South Winchester, is accused of stabbing his acquaintance Maria Adams, 49, of the 8200 block of S. May, at his home, officials said. He was arrested last week and charged with attempted murder and aggravated domestic battery. Charges are expected to be upgraded because the woman died Saturday night. Sun-Times Media
