Police investigating suspected murder/suicide
WICHITA, Kansas – Two people were found shot to death in a south Wichita apartment Wednesday morning and now police are investigating it as a possible murder/suicide.
Police say a man and woman, both in their 20’s, were the victims of the crime. Officers were called to the Westport Apartments near 31st St. S. and Meridian just before noon where they discovered the crime scene.
Officers say it doesn’t appear there was a struggle inside the apartment.
"It looked like a normal apartment to me,” said Sgt. Steven Heiser with the Wichita Police Department. “It had things put away. It wasn't a mess or anything."
Homicide investigators are continuing to interview those who live in the complex to try to figure out if they saw or heard anything.
Police have not yet released the names of the man and woman.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
