LARGO – Pinellas County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating an apparent murder-suicide of a man and woman at a residence at 105th Ave. N. in unincorporated Largo.
According to the sheriff’s report, neighbors discovered the unclothed body of Jennifer Nicole Williams, 30, in front of her car in the driveway of her home just before 8 a.m. Aug. 17 and called 911. Responding deputies entered the home and found the unclothed body of her husband, Aaron, 38, on the bed in the bedroom. A small caliber handgun was found near his body.
Detectives said both died of gunshot wounds and that Aaron’s was self-inflicted.
Detectives report that the couple was having marital problems. A sheriff’s report indicates deputies were at the home on Aug. 4, when Jennifer left the home after a dispute with Aaron. Detectives said they learned that she had returned home sometime last week.
A next door neighbor reported that he heard what sounded like a popping noise associated with firecrackers at around 1 a.m. He went out his front door to investigate, but did not see anything unusual. This morning he found the body when he went outside to water his plants.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
