SALINA, Kan. (AP) - A Saline County man has been arrested in the death of his wife, who was reported missing last week.
The body of 28-year-old Kandi L. Sprague was found Monday on the two-acre property in rural northeast Saline County where she lived with her husband.
Saline County Undersheriff Daven Dunstan says her husband was arrested on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder. He was scheduled to make a first court appearance Wednesday.
Dunstan says a relative reported Kandi Sprague missing on July 29.
The Salina Journal reports that Dunstan would not release other details about the case, except to say it was not Sprague's husband who reported her missing.
Neighbors say the couple has three school-aged children.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
