A Johnson County couple was found shot to death early Thursday at their home after authorities responded to shooting call in the neighborhood.
Authorities believe it was a murder//suicide.
The victims were identified as Candy Marlene Parker, 50, who was taken by helicopter ambulance to a hospital where she was pronounced dead and her husband, Randall Lane Parker, 58, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Department.
Johnson County dispatchers received a 911 call about 2:40 a.m. Thursday about a shooting in the 2900 block of Jessica Lane near Mansfield.
When they arrived, deputies found Candy Parker with a gunshot wound, authorities said. They then found Randall Parker dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said.
Johnson County authorities did not release any information about a motive.
Authorities continued to investigate the case Thursday.

A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
